The 1936 National Convention was held outside of Asheville, North Carolina and at the Installation banquet, the Achievement award of six silver candlesticks was presented for the first time with Alpha Gamma-Alabama being the first recipient. At that same Convention, Julia Jean Coleman, daughter of Founder Julia was the convention initiate and Anna Keen Davis, Founder, was a honored guest.
