Margaret Huenefeld Pease Council Award

Margaret Huenefeld Pease Council Award

Description

This award shall be presented to an outstanding small alumnae chapter who has excelled in creating an outstanding chapter culture and member experience.

History

The Margaret Huenefeld Pease Council Award was established as a traveling trophy in tribute to her service as National President, Editor of the LAMP of Delta Zeta and other national offices. It was established in 1973 after the Council realized that the smaller alumnae chapters could not possibly compete with the larger chapters in metropolitan areas for the Myrtle Graeter Hinkly Award. Margaret was initiated into Xi Chapter at the University of Cincinnati and was National President during the Great Depression from 1934-1936.
